Position Overview
We are in search of an experienced HRIS analyst and data integration expert to support a US-based enterprise organization in recruiting a full-time HRIS Reporting Analyst to own key reporting, analytics, and integration activities within its Dayforce HCM environment.

This is a technical HRIS role, suited to someone with a strong IT or systems background who can work hands-on with HRIS data, integrations, SQL, reporting, and business intelligence.

The successful candidate will work closely with HR, Payroll, IT, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, develop accurate and secure reporting solutions, integrate HRIS data with downstream platforms, and create reliable datasets for analytics and decision-making.

Dayforce experience is strongly preferred, although candidates with comparable technical experience in Workday, UKG, SAP SuccessFactors, or another enterprise HCM platform will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

HRIS Integrations & Data Engineering

  • Build, maintain, troubleshoot, and support API-based integrations between the HRIS and downstream systems.

  • Work hands-on with REST APIs, OData feeds, connectors, and other integration methods to extract and exchange HR and workforce data.

  • Understand source and destination systems, authentication/connectivity requirements, data structures, transformations, and integration dependencies.

  • Write SQL to query, join, transform, reconcile, and validate HRIS data.

  • Build reusable datasets and data pipelines to support enterprise reporting and analytics.

  • Document integration designs, data sources, transformations, and operating procedures.

  • Where applicable, support MCP-based integrations connecting enterprise HR data with AI tools and agents.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Design, build, and maintain HRIS reports, with hands-on Dayforce Report Writer experience strongly preferred.

  • Develop Advanced, Matrix, and Composite reports, Calculated Fields, dashboards, and tailored versions of standard reports.

  • Develop HR and workforce reporting covering areas such as headcount, attrition, overtime, labor cost, payroll, timekeeping, and compliance.

  • Connect HRIS data to Power BI and Excel, including OData-based connections, data models, transformations, and reusable datasets.

  • Schedule and automate report distribution in formats such as XLS, CSV, and PDF.

Data Quality, Security & Governance

  • Reconcile information across HR, Payroll, Workforce Management, and Timekeeping.

  • Investigate reporting discrepancies and identify issues within source data, queries, integrations, or transformations.

  • Ensure reporting and integrations comply with role-based security, privacy, governance, and applicable compliance requirements.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Run requirements sessions with HR, Payroll, IT, and business stakeholders.

  • Translate business requirements into technical reporting and integration solutions.

  • Communicate technical concepts, delivery status, dependencies, risks, and decisions clearly to client stakeholders.

  • Support self-service reporting, user enablement, and documentation.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Hands-on technical experience with an enterprise HRIS/HCM platform; Dayforce strongly preferred, with Workday, UKG, SAP SuccessFactors, or comparable platforms considered.

  • Demonstrated experience personally building, maintaining, or supporting API integrations.

  • Experience with REST APIs and/or OData, including understanding how HRIS data moves between source and destination systems.

  • Strong SQL skills, including queries, joins, transformations, data validation, and building reporting datasets.

  • Experience connecting HRIS or enterprise data into Power BI and developing data models and transformations.

  • Strong understanding of HR/HCM data structures and processes across areas such as HR, Payroll, Workforce Management, and Timekeeping.

  • Ability to explain the technical architecture and data work behind reports—not simply the Power BI visualization layer.

  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills and confidence working directly with stakeholders.

Preferred Experience

  • Hands-on Dayforce Report Writer experience.

  • MCP integrations, AI agent tooling, or enterprise AI/data connectors.

  • Power Query and Power Automate.

  • XML and JSON payloads.

  • Advanced Excel for large-scale data reconciliation.

  • Dayforce implementation or post-production support.

  • Experience across Benefits, Recruiting, Compensation, or Performance modules.

  • Relevant HCM/Dayforce certifications.
